Apple Orchard Following Directions Game

The child shows understanding by changing the orchard

This is a receptive-language activity, not an articulation drill. A spoken direction gives the child a real reason to move an apple, animal, or orchard object. Correct actions remain in the scene so the orchard changes over time. Speech, reading, and voice recognition are never required.

Clinically meaningful control

The default uses short one-step directions. Grown-ups can include one-step and two-step directions, keep written language hidden for auditory comprehension, replay the exact direction without penalty, and use tap or drag. Difficulty comes from critical details such as color, size, quantity, location, and action order, not sentence length alone.

How this game was reviewed

Little Words Editorial created the directions, scene logic, error support, and listening recap with feedback from an SLP partner. Every authored direction is checked against current object availability and a generous destination zone. The game records categorical interaction data only in the current browser session. It does not assess, diagnose, or replace an SLP. Read our editorial and clinical standards.
