Our 163 games are play: a scene, a goal, a celebration at the end. An activity is the opposite trade. There is no theme to enjoy, and that is the point — a clinician with three minutes left, or a parent at a red light, gets to targets in one tap and leaves with data. The turn itself is identical in both: Buddy says the word, the mic opens, and what the child actually says is what moves the drill along.
No. Where a mic is available and a grown-up allows it, Buddy listens and reacts to what he hears. Where it is not, every card carries a large green button the child or adult taps when the word has been said, and the drill runs exactly the same way. Nothing is ever uploaded — the listening happens in the browser and no audio leaves the device.
You do. The listening result suggests a mark so a parent running a drill alone still gets a tally without touching anything, but every mark is shown and changeable in one tap, and the exported file records which marks were suggested and which were yours. Little Words does not do automated phoneme scoring.
Buddy says the word again and the picture he means glows softly. There is no buzzer, no red, no shake, and no "try again" — a second model is the teaching moment, and the trial log quietly records that a cue was given.
